Why was the photo edit feature removed from Message with the latest update?

I don't care about Yelp....I want to edit my pictures!! This was a very helpful feature and I've searched for another app that is as easy to use and I can't find one. I hate the new version

Have you tried editing the photo via a photo/editing app, saving it to the Gallery app, and then attaching the photo to the text?

As stated in my post...."I've searched for another app that is as easy to use and cannot find one."
