Hi, I accidentally marked a text as spam and the whole thread was deleted in message plus. How can I unmark it as spam?

jan0514, we certainly want for you to be able to receive all your messages. Just to clarify, was the number marked spam in the Messages+ app or with the Call Filter app? This link will show option for unblocking a number as spam: https://www.verizon.com/support/call-filter-faqs/ (see #2 under the Call Filter Spam Detection section)

I have the same issue- I marked a text message as spam in Message+. Can I get it back, and unblock the sender? How do I do that?

DanEgurl-

I know how important it is to ensure you are able to receive messages from a number you accidentally marked as spam. There is not a way to remove a number sent to our Spam team. The purpose of reporting a number through your message app is to ensure we track any suspicious activity. This report does not block the number unless you block it from your account on My Verizon

https://www.verizon.com/support/block-unblock-services-faqs/

As for the spam report, once it is sent,  the message thread gets deleted. You can always start a new message thread and continue messaging with that number without any issues. Please let me know if this information helps.

Hi,

What if the number marked accidentally as spam is the verizon verification number? I received a message while calling up customer service that was to secure the account, but while deleting it I marked it as spam. Now I am not able to receive verification text messages from Verizon.

We totally understand accidentally marking something as spam, winny29. You can simply remove it from that list and then start receiving messages from that source once again. Here is a link to help show you how https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-200868/
