I'm no early adopter, I just got my first cell phone with a camera a couple of weeks ago! I thought I'd be able to plug my camera into my PC and download the pictures. But my PC thinks my phone is a modem. Is there a driver I can download for my computer so it recognizes my phone? Is it possible to download my pictures without sending them in a message?
THanks.

You are correct djdisner. V-Cast Media Manager does not support the LG Accolade nor is there a 64-bit version of V-Cast Media Manager. The messaging option is the best method. Just an FYI, to send pictures to your pc, the steps are below.
1. Open the picture gallery and select the pictures
2. Select "options" then "send"
3. Select "To Online Album".
Once the picture has been sent, it can be viewed at www.vzwpix.com once you login with the "My Verizon" password.
Best of luck...

When you go into Settings and Tools>>>USB Auto Detection>>>check to see if it is set to Sync Data, Sync Music, or Ask on Plug.
Then, with the USB connected to your phone and the computer....go to Settings and Tools>>>Tools>>>USB Mass Storage. The phone should then show up in My Computer as a drive, which you can browse, and copy files to and from.
You may need to have a micro SD card installed in the phone for this to work, and the pictures may have to be saved to the card to transfer to your computer.

Have you downloaded vcast Media Manager? If not, click here http://products.verizonwireless.com/index.aspx?id=fnd_music_mediaManager to do so.
After you have done so, these are the steps to take to transfer your data.
- From the Windows desktop, click Start > (Programs) All Programs > V CAST Media Manager > V Cast Media Manager.
- Drag and drop the desired file on the destination tab (Computer /Device / CD).
Alternately, right-click the desired file then click Transfer > To Phone / To CD / To PC. - From the Transfers tab, ensure the destination location is selected then click START TRANSFER (located at the lower-left side of the screen).
- If presented, adjust as desired then click OK.
- To transfer music files to the handset, ensure the device is in synchronization mode.
- To transfer pictures / videos to the handset, ensure the device is not in synchronization mode.
- If presented, click OK.

AS far as I have been able to figure out, the Accolade does not support expanded memory. In other words, there is no SD card slot. And, unless there has been a very recent change to the V-Cast Media Manager, it does not support the Accolade. Forget about being able to access the phone's memory from your PC. Still working on the issue, but...

But don't I get charged for sending pix to www.vzwpix.com? I don't have any kind of data or messsaging plan. When I got this phone 2 days ago the sales person said that the USB cable was all I needed to take pictures off of my phone.
