There is no monthly fee to use Message+. 

If you are a Verizon Wireless customer there is NO charge against your Data/Texting plans.

For non-Verizon Wireless customers, the usage IS applied to the user's Data/Texting plans.

When did this start?  It's always been my understanding that messages sent/received using Verizon Messages (whether via a network connection or wi-fi) counted against your text plan.  Or am I misreading your comment?  Thanks.

SORRY. I automatically assumed everyone has unlimited texting.  Texting does apply to your texting plan in the event you do not have unlimited texting.
