Our son is going to Peru for 4 months. He has iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0 and iMessage. I have the same; my wife has an iPad with iOS 5.0. We want to suspend his plan while he is away ($9.95/mo for phone, ~$30/mo. for data). If he is in a WiFi spot, can he still iMessage us? Will his phone work for internet, email, etc. if we suspend his data plan, as long as he is in a WiFi spot?
