The number the text came from, the first two number would correspond to FB. I believe the glitch is on FB's side. I text messages FROM VZW have the tag line, "This message is free." or something like that. And their text code begins with 99
Remember FB is the company that allows third party premium text subscriptions to occur if people take certain quizzes, if the person does not read the very small gray font.

At the time I received the post, the issue was not listed in our Alerts system. Until Technical Support post that issue in the Alert system, we are to advise that we are not aware of an issue.

Based on the information that you provided, it sounds like the Facebook Places Service is being used.
That service would be using your GPS settings, try going to the GPS setting on your device and setting it to location on, instead of E911 only.
