how do i identify who is sending me offensive texts? when i did a free reverse look up on some websites all it told me was it is a landline. i have to pay to see who it is. how is it possible to send a text from a landline?
It may be a landline that has been ported to a cell phone. If you plan on pursuing it legally, if the texts are threatening, you can probably have the police track down who it is. Otherwise, just block the number so they can't text you or call you. Go to MyVerizon, Spam controls and you can block up to 5 numbers for free for 90 days. You can then renew the block, or hopefully, by then, whoever is sending these will have stopped.
You can also call customer service and ask them to block that particular number.
