sending email to text delayed by an hour or more

When sending an email to either a vtext.com or vzwpix.com address, the delivery gets delayed by an hour or more. Sometimes I've seen it get delayed for over 24 hours. I have tried sending emails from my work account, a gmail.com account, and an outlook.com account, all with the same problem.  I have also tried sending to different Verizon mobile numbers which also resulted in the same problem. When sending emails to AT&T mobile numbers there is no issue at all. Seeing as how this issue occurs with different email accounts and different Verizon mobile numbers and not AT&T mobile numbers, this leads me to believe that the root cause is on Verizon's end. How can this get fixed?

techperson, I see you're having some delays with Vtext. I've sent a Private Note, so we can discuss things further.

techperson, I'm sorry you're seeing a delay with the Vtext.com. Vtext is not designed for large volumes of messaging, and since it is working through internet email we can't give a timeframe as to when the messages sent may be recieved. Are you trying to use Vtext in relation to a business?

John, I am seeing the delays when sending a single message, a single message isn't a large volume of messaging.

Can you explain the differences using it for personal use or business use? Why would that make a difference?

techperson, the email to text option, although available, not something that is maintained as there are many other applications that provide faster communication. There are some business accounts that use it, but they also pay for it. A paid option is not available for consumer accounts.

If the email to text option is not maintained, what benefit would it be for a business account to pay to use it?

It's extremely important that we have access to your business account in order to make sure that all features are properly adjusted. It's important to mention that we do not have business account access on this platform. Please dial *611 from your device so that we can access your account and further assist you. ~Geo

Geo, what features would need to be adjusted? Would adjusting these features allow for a more reasonable delay that is similar to sending email to text message for AT&T?

techperson, at this time, there are no settings that we can have you adjust for the email to text option. Since this feature is completed over the internet, we cannot guarantee any time frame. I do apologize.

Natasha,

Can you explain what Geo was talking about then when they said " in order to make sure that all features are properly adjusted"?

I have the same issue,  Community Forums - email-to-text @vtext.com and or @vzwpix.com - Verizon Community not one response.   this is a single message used for private use and message sent at 10:30 PM every night arrives at 8:00 AM the next morning.    this is a Verizon issue and needs to be fixed.
