just got a text mssg from verizon. I have not used my vpix account for 150 days and if I dont log in soon my content will be deleted. ???
theres a reason I dont use it. its not working. I cant' send pictures from my phone to the website, so I stopped using this feature. I dont appreciate verizon threatening to cancel or delete something that Im paying a monthly FEE for. this is not right in my book. If i put content there and dont log in for 150 days, who cares? whats the big deal? Im paying a fee for this cell phone, verizon should not cancel or delete anything just because I dont log in.
I called tech support and told them I can't upload pics from the phone to the website, they have no idea why it's not working and could not fix it.

You are not paying an extra monthly fee to use the online storage, unless you have opted for the increased storage space. It is available for you to use as part of your account; it's up to you if you use it or not. Me? I prefer to store my pix on my phone, the SD card, or locally on my computer, NOT on Verison's cludgy, awkward and hard to manage Pix Place. I did have a few things there, just to test things, and it ended up being deleted because I never used it. No biggie. this is not right in my book. You are paying for cell phone service; the online storage is there to use or not as you choose - your monthly fee does not change if you use it or if you don't. Since you are not using it, it doesn't seem to be working for you, store your pics elsewhere and move on.

That presumes it was working at some point. If you were never able to upload any pictures, then you've lost nothing. And if you DO have pics there from a point when it WAS working, you have 30 days to log in and see what's there, if anything needs to be saved.
The online picture album has to be used at least once every 180 days or it gets deleted verizon was not threatening you they were just reminding you to renew the use of the album by just going in and clicking on something and then you would be good for another 180 days so you don't lose your pictures. I don't use the album that often so I appreciate the reminder so I don't lose the pix I have in there.
