Asurion is a waste of money

Asurion wants to charge me a $250 deductible for a malfunctioning device without physical damage. I am only 13 days past my 1 year warranty. During a national crisis, can someone at Verizon intervene? I’ve had this issue for over a month but have been overwhelmed with backlog created from the current pandemic. I only today had a chance to reach out and only got the run around from Asurion and Verizon alike. I was told that if I lived in any other state besides Florida, they could help me (Asurion) or cannot get ahold of anyone outside of a virtual assistant or chat (Verizon)... my phone is acting up and would be eligible for a no cost replacement if I would have acted 13 days sooner. Help me please.

I'd call in to CS and have them remove the insurance and then connect you to tier 2 for a warranty claim. Without Asurion butting in, Verizon would handle the manufacturer warranty which is good for a year.

Florida is the worst possible state to have Asurion.
