When you say the glass cover, do you mean a screen protector or do you mean the screen of the phone itself? If it is just the screen protector, I wouldn't do an insurance claim as the deductible will be much more than a new screen protector. If it is the screen itself, this is something that would require an insurance claim/deductible to get a replacement device....
