Uploaded family locator on my device but my daughters are having trouble. They are hung getting the password after putting in their phone number. They are leaving for a trip alone for 1st time and I want to make sure they don;t get lost. Do I need to take all of our hones into the shop for tech help or can someone direct me over phone or email/

Don't pay for Family Locator. That is an unneeded expense. Instead, you should look at Life360, available for both Android and iPhones. It works great and I was able to locate my daughter while she was studying abroad for 6 months.
