how do i stop unwanted calls and texts? I have recieved 23 calls and 1 text from 14 diffrent numbers already this month ! This is getting old what do I do ?

I have the same question as Tacc, but I don't think it will help to change my phone number. The calls are coming in apparently from all over the country, and I probably get as many in a day as Tacc indicated for a month --often multiple times from the same phone number. I've answered 1 or 2 of them just to try to find out who they are, and of the ones I've answered, I've told them in no uncertain terms to take me off their call list, that I wasn't interested in whatever they were selling. But I'm pretty sure that's not going to work, because I strongly suspect that many of these are "spoofed" numbers used by scammers. Perhaps it sounds prejudiced of me to say so, but the calls I answered were all from very foreign-sounding individuals, and since we have been dealing with trying to get my father out of a situation that has now lasted over 3 years with (the same group of) scammers calling him from India, you can imagine my suspicion upon hearing that particular accent. So PLEASE come up with a solution that allows for MUCH more than blocking 5 numbers, and somehow being more automatic than having to enter every number manually. I literally have more than 100 calls a month from at least 15 different numbers, apparently from states where I know NO ONE and where I have never done any business. Is there NO way to make a service like nomorobo compatible with cellphones?
