My smart family app showed my child was approximately 45 miles away from where they actually were. What would cause this?
Could the GPS be turning off on their phone?

Im having the same issue. The app isn’t very reliable. We’ve accused our son of sneaking out when he may not have. It was a big deal because he’s trying to prove his trust to us and it got heated because we thought we had proof. We now have him put his phone on the counter before bed. In the middle of the night, the app will tell me he’s a few miles away but then I look and his phone is right in the kitchen. This only seems to take place overnight, which is when we rely on it the most. I wouldn’t recommend the app. I’ll be looking for some other monitoring apps.
