Hello
My kid says she didn't use a certain messaging app, but it's listed on my phone as she did.. I looked all through her phone and it shows no proof it was installed or used. Could Smart Family be reporting in error?

PheeCorley, let me help relieve some of that stress or at least help answer your question, which I apologize if it leads to more stress. I double-checked to see if there were any issues with the Smart Family app at the moment, or in the recent past. I didn't find anything indicating any recent issues active or otherwise with viewing a phone's web or app activity. If there's an issue it's ID'd pretty quick usually, and we get updated. Reviewing various spots where we track such stuff, not finding anything indicating an issue. Based on that I'd say Smart Family has been reporting accurately.

I wonder about the accuracy also. I have seen, What's App, Instagram, Telegram, TicTok show up on the child's phone. To try and verify the inaccuracy I have the phone in my possession, and it still shows these apps being used when they are not. These apps are not even installed on the phone. Is it possible for this app to mistake one app for a different one? I have also seen this before when the app says the child was using Snap Chat when it was actually Google message. These issues cause a lot of serious conflict and need to be addressed.

Thanks for getting back to us. To make sure we're on the same page, do you have the phone in your possession and it is also not being used? Can you tell us more about what is being reported on the Smart Family app that looks out of place?

In the private message tht will follow, please share what has been done so far, such as phone and app updates? Uninstall, reinstall Smart Family Parent and Companion apps? Uninstall , re install both.
First thing in the morning it shows I have been on these websites:
Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.
McAfee
These are daily reports that I cannot figure out. I can't explain this to my spouse, as far as she's concerned it just looks like I have found a way to cheat on her. Probable going to sleep in the Fishhouse if she lets me, until we split up and sell off everything.
To top it off it shows on my call breakdown on the bill, that I have made some calls to an unidentifiable number. There is no record of this on my phones log history.

Yes, the phone is in my possession. It is my phone that has the companion app installed. We put the app on my phone in an attempt to show that I am not visiting porn sites, using snap chat, what'd app, and any of the other apps and web sites I mentioned above in one of my other posts.
This app does not work the way I would expect it too. I am not impressed with it calling one of the common messaging apps Snap chats. Or how about last night when I was on my way home from work, it showed that I was "using phone" when in the real world the phone was sitting on the passenger seat of my car, NOT being used. I did not make any calls, there is no record of calls in the call log or any messages in the message log for that 40-minute period that I was driving home. But yet my wife believes I was on the phone because this app says, "phone use" and since 4 out of 5 "Experts" told her that phone use means I was making a call. She believes this app over another r app we have on the phone which screenshots my activity on my cell phone, Laptop, and work PC.
It FALSELY shows that I have been on these apps or websites today. Google play store, Google Drive, Facebook, Instagram and Messenger, McAfee, Ebay, and Walgreens.
So, what's up Verizon Smart Family App????? My life is miserable, my wife's life is even more miserable because these things just keep showing up. And just think, I am the fool who suggested this app. SO $ for this app, $ for the other apps, $ for therapy, $ for marriage counseling, $ for new phones, so they are both the same. WHAT'S LEFT???
