Time Restriction

I have a time restriction on my child's phone for texting. Is it possible for him to change the time on his phone, and bypass the restriction? I know he is texting during the restricted time.

You can email a text message to another phone by using he recipient’s mobile phone number as the email address, with the addition of “@vtext.com” at the end. For example, if the phone number is 555-123-4567, type “5551234567@vtext.com.” and hit send.  Any replies to the text message would return to your child's email.

It is possible to change times on a phone, but I doubt it would get around the Verizon restrictions.

There's also several messenger's that don't use SMS (regular texting); Facebook messenger, AIM, etc.

jl531,

That's a great question! I know it's important to make sure the restrictions are working properly. What device model does he have? If an iPhone, he can iMessage on wi-fi or with data connection. If a different model, there are apps he may be able to use over wi-fi.

OUJIA1980,

I remember the feeling of being new to this, so it's definitely my pleasure helping you set up Family Base, I know it's important to manage kids' usage. This http://vz.to/1mVqWLq will definitely show you how to set up all the blocks you need.
