Why does family base make me reenter the 10 digit phone number

Is there anyway to use family base and not have my child have to reenter the phone numbers they are trying to call?

FamilyBase is a great way to manage usage and protect users on your account, but let's get a bit more information on this calling issue to best help. Since this would be on your child's line, is the number they are calling already saved to the phone as a contact? What make/model is their device, and is it using the Companion app?
