Be Careful! Robo call phishing scam for www.vzw100.com offers $100 credit

I received a call from 800-888-9599 for a $630 credit.  I talked with Verizon and they said it was a scam.  This number is also calling other phone company users.

My call from 800-888-9603 came at 12:19am this morning. I of course hung up. At 12:39am they called again. I just blocked the number.I shouldn't have to use one of my 5 free blocks on this! Is there a way to report this to Verizon via internet rather than a phone call? My number is on the DNC registry. Of course I can't file a complaint with them right now as they are shut down at the moment!

This has recently made the local news here. I received a call yesterday from 800-888-9612 but was unable to answer. I called back and it's a non-working number. Today I received a call from 800-888-9613 and listened. I was instructed to go to www.vzw73.com. I called the number back and it connects to what is described as America's number one talk line. I of course knew this was a scam as the offer was for $73 which is such an odd amount and a phone call just screams fraud to me when i usually receive texts and emails duplicating the texts from VZW when it's official.

Yes, I've received these on my work cell the past few weeks-either from the 800-888-9615 or 9613 numbers. I took it to be an annoyance and ignored them as a likely scam. I'm wondering how they get our numbers too? and is it possible to block these unwanted solicitations on a less than "smart" phone?

Me too. In my case it was 800-888-9616, the amount was $103, and the web site was vzw103.com. I have started receiving these calls one and two times a day.

I agree, my scam (same as above except it's call Verizon Travelers Survey) offering $100, came via email today, 01/17/14. It was addressed to Verizon Wireless Customer.

This is still going on. I received a call today from 800-888-9616 directing me to vz803.com for a supposed $800 refund. Totally ridiculous. I can't find the appropriate place to report security issues to Verizon, but I've sent an email to Verizon's "privacy office" regarding this, since that seems to be the closest department that I can locate.
