How do you block a number from calling/texting you?

Thank you for the suggestions. I did have to add 'call and msg blocking' feature. Had to future date the order so I will have to wait a couple of weeks to see if I can add number to block. Thks again.

That answer would be helpful if all steps were available. When I follow the given information, my Vzn shows "Not available for this cell phone number" on all 4 of our lines. All are 4G smartphones, 1 of which is only 1 month old. No place to ADD numbers to be blocked. Next suggestion?

If you have a post-paid account, the feature should be available. Call Customer Service and have them ensure that the block feature is enabled for your account/phone lines.

That's what you're supposed to see. But for some reason sometimes you don't. It happened to my account a few months ago, apparently after all blocks had expired and there was a system update. I didn't get the message that elliew got, I just didn't have any place to insert numbers to block and there was a message saying that the feature wasn't available. I called Customer Service and apparently there was a system glitch; I couldn't enable the feature myself, CS had to do it.

I think one time I had to go into my Change Features and add the call blocking feature back to my line in order to add numbers to it.

Yeah, I tried that when it happened to me, but that didn't work due to the apparent system glitch. There's been other threads about this happening. One user reported that it was due to a pending order that was preventing them from doing other things via their My Verizon account ... I've run into that before as well.
