I just moved out to the middle of nowhere and can only get satellite internet. I do A LOT of online gaming so this pretty much sucks. I looked at the data plans and since you guys got stingy with the data (not the fault of any reps reading this so no offense), there's no way I could afford the data it would take to support my gaming. Is there anything you guys provide like a router or something that's strictly for internet? As in no phone? And if so, is the data any cheaper? I'm all out of options and am on the verge of accepting the fact that I might have to kiss my hobby goodbye for the next 2+ years

You could also look and see if Wisper Internet (or something similar) is available in your area. It gets used a lot here in rural Illinois and Missouri. http://www.wisperisp.com

LTE internet is probally going to be your best bet but 30gb will be eaten up pretty quick depending on what games your play. Most satelite internets upload speads are horrible and yoru online gaming experience will not be top notch. Your going to have to cut back because this is going to get expensive in a hurry

They do have a plan but it's not really cheaper than satellite though the latency is much better. Sorry but people living in the sticks are going to be stuck with terrible choices for internet for a long time. This is why if I move anywhere I make sure there is access to cable internet.

Homefusion wont work cuz you need 4g and I only get 3g out here. As far as what i play, It's pretty much solely battlefield so probably uses a lot. I guess I'm screwed. Maybe I gotta find a more productive hobby lol. Thanks for the responses though

On th More Everything plan yes it is. It's $225. If you get LTE Internet Installed ( formally called Homefusion ) all by itself it's $120.

Sorry but that's the way it's going to be for years for those living in the boonies. As long as cable and telco ignore the rural areas your choices are going to stink.
