I was checking my bill this month because it was a different amount due. I see the fed universal service charge and both state and county taxes have doubled since last month. My bill has been the same for a year now. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I asked about it at our Verizon store. I was told that they fluctuate from month to month. Still....to double in one month?? It seems as though the taxes should be regulated by government, not Verizon.
The universal service charge will change every 3 months because the rate is changed every 3 months. Sometimes it goes up sometimes it goes down. As far as your state/local taxes you'll need to check into and see if the rate has gone up any lately.
