Charged for month before my contract started!

 I am being charged $101.00 by Verizon Wireless for an entire month Before I signed my contract.
 
 I signed my contract with Verizon on September 20 of 2021 however I noticed that my very first bill says that it’s dated for August 21, 2021 - September 20, 2021 which is impossible.

The bill was generated for billing cycle ending on September 20, 2021 which is the first day you had service. If you look at the detailed bill, it should have a partial monthly charge for Sept 20 to Sept 20 and then a fiull month of service charges for Sept 21 to Oct 20. The activation fee will be charged on your bill too although I don't know which bill it landed on.

I don't blame you for bringing up this concern. On the "View bill" portion of that line highlighted, are there activation fees on that bill? Are there charges for the price plans on it like are on the Sep21 - Oct20 statement?
