I received a courtesy call from Verizon because I'm past due on my bill. Money is extremely tight and I have to hold out for a few weeks on little to no cash. The agent set up a promise to pay, and explicitly told me my services would NOT be shut off. Lo and behold, my services were shut off. Thanks, Verizon.
You should have called the financial services department at 866.266.1445 to make payment arrangements and verify the line won't be shut off for non payment.
