Just wanted to let everyone know that i just went through the whole customer loyalty schpeal with verizon-wireless and they truly do not care about their customer brand loyalty. Trying to take advantage of their $750 off iPhone XS-Max if you buy one and they absolutely would not do it. Even though they sent an email with a link to the offer I attached to this posting. Said, sorry that is only for new customers - I said, ok well what about 20 year customers? What do they get? He pretty much said, well... nothing. Hmmmm... really. I was nice, I simply stated I thought it was garabge that they didn't care about their loyal customers. I wonder if they have ever read the documentary on The Ritz Carlton customer service strategy? Obviously they haven't.
Verizon certainely needs to work on their customer loyalty retention program. This is absolutely ridiculous. Oh well, guess its time to see what other offers are out there. Since my loyalty doesn't mean anything to them, why should it mean anything to me? Anyone have any suggestions on a good deal out there?
Thanks in advance!
Loyalty to me (in this case) is being an excellent verizon customer for over 20 years because they used to actually care about that sort of thing and thus, built customer loyalty to where I never had to considered switching providers.
dave2ssrs, we appreciate your loyalty of 20 years and we would be disappointed to see you go. I want to ensure that we're able to explore all your upgrade options for the iPhone. Please note that for the promotion you are referencing, all customers are available to take advantage of this promotion. However, a new line of service is required in order to receive the monthly billing credit. In addition, I am able to confirm that the promotion in the screenshot is not currently available. The good news is that you may always take advantage of our self-service trade-in program here: https://www.verizonwireless.com/od/trade-in/#/ I also recommend bookmarking the following page to stay updated with our current promotions: https://www.verizonwireless.com/deals/ Let us know if this information is helpful.
Promotions are not to save us money, or to keep customers. The bogo offers are to add new business and make a profit off new customers. Because if the way the promotion works, they cannot possibly give you a BOGO. The computer looks for the requirements , and would not see them.
Bogo serves the 1% of churn customers who are willing to take the chance on service, and switch carriers. Verizon is number one for a reason, and they know they don’t have to deal.
BTW if you are one of those customers with an older, cheaper plan, or old legacy unlimited, Verizon would probably be happy to see your plan off the books. In which case your switch to a another carrier will save you on phones, but you may pay much more for service. Do the math and test the waters.
I can tell you that if you consider jumping ship, stay away from Sprint..because they are FAR worse and they outsource support to India.
I've been shoppng at Walmart for over 10 years, I certainly don't deserve a free TV for it. If you want a deal that badly, port your number out and back in.
