DATA TEXT CHANGED NAME TO PREMIUM MESSAGING!! WATCH YOUR BILL

A FEW YEARS BACK VERIZON WIRELESS OWED A TON OF CUSTOMERS $ FOR DATA CALLS THAT WERE BEING CHARGED TO THERE ACCOUNT, IT WAS A NATION WIDE THING AND SUPPOSIVLY IT WAS FIXED AND "DATA TEXT $9.99" WHERE BLOCKED AND CUSTOMERS WERE NOT ALOUD TO BE CHARGED FOR THEM ANYMORE, WELL I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT WE (ALL CUSTOMERS) ARE STILL BEING CHARGED FOR THEM.THEY JUST CHANGED THE NAME OF WHAT THEY BILL THEM UNDER. THEY NOW HAVE IT UNDER PREMIUM MESSAGING SO THAT PPL THINK IT IS SOMETHING THEY HAVE DONE WHEN IT ISNT.. I HAVE HAD SO MANY ISSUES WITH VERIZON WIRELESS AND HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR OVER 10 YEARS, I PAY MY BILL EVERY MONTH ON TIME AND I WAS NOT TREATED RIGHT TODAY.... I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY AND WILL BE MAKING SURE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS OF THESE CHARGES. PEOPLE WORK HARD FOR THERE MONEY AND DONT NEED COMPANYS LIKE THIS RIPPING THEM OFF... I JUST CANT BELIEVE IT!!!

Verizon has had premium messaging for many years. If you do not want to be wrongly charged for these items, you can just have it blocked by logging into your MyVerizon acct and doing so. You can also call CS at *611 to do the same. If you have recently been charged for a premium message you can call CS at *611 and if you have not been charged for them in the past, they will most likely credit your account.

I was charged for a premium message several years ago. Most likely, I signed up via Facebook or some other vehicle which I was unaware by inputting my cell #. I called CS, Verizon reversed the charge and I had premium messaging blocked on all of my lines. I have not had a problem with any premium messages in the 4+ years since.
