Dead Zone

I'm currently visiting my son here in Santa Clarita, and the Verizon signal is the absolute worst I've ever encountered. I live in the state of Maryland, and ever since I became a Verizon customer 20 years ago, I've never seen such inferior Verizon coverage as what I am experiencing this week in Santa Clarita... And I mean anywhere in Santa Clarita. Verizon should be ashamed.

As a long-time and valued customer of 20+ years, your service concerns are our concerns too. It certainly saddens us to hear that you're experiencing signal issues while visiting your sin in Santa Clarita, CA and we're here to help in any way we can.

We've also noted you reference that you're experiencing service issues "Anywhere in Santa Clarita."  Let's work together to address and resolve this matter.

Can you tell us more about this and which of your services are being affected (e.g., calls, text, web browsing, etc.)  Are you experiencing service issues while you're indoors, outdoors, or both?

Have there been any recent changes with your Device? (e.g., software update, new apps downloaded, recent SIM Card change, etc.) Please reboot your device while we're troubleshooting together. Thanks! -Robert C.

I've noticed similar dead zones. I'm including a map of zip code 91354 and highlighting the areas I get zero to minimal service. While I may get 1 bar of service, the signal is not strong enough to do anything related to a data connection. It's quite frustrating that I'm unable to start navigation, music, etc through me phone until I'm several minutes away from home.

There's other spots of limited to no service, such as near the Target on McBean and Magic Mountain Pkwy, and the Wesfield mall.

Dead spots and other service issues is not the experience we ever want for our customers. I apologize for your inconvenience and we're here to help.

We've noted your reference to servcie issues in the 91354 zip code area and that you're viewing one bar of signal strength from your device.

A signal bar indicates how far away a cell tower is that you are connected to. Many factors would determine the cell tower's signal you are on, including the line of sight, distance, mobile traffic, and even the time of day.

However, two bars would be considered suitable in most situations. (Different phone models measure signal strength differently). One bar of signal strength for your device might be two bars for another device. Did I explain this OK?

Do you notice that you only ever have one bar of signal on your phone in all locations? -Robert C.

Yes, it is absolutely HORRIBLE even for those of us who live here, and even with troubleshooting AND hooked up to WiFi. (no damage to phone).

We certainly want to do all that we can to ensure that the service is at its best in your area, MayraA328. When did this first start happening? Can you please describe what happens when you make a  call, send a text message, and use data without the aid of Wi-Fi?
