Dear Verizon, an unhappy customer wants a different phone..
givemeanewphone

I was duped into buying a phone I didn't want by a very conniving customer service rep at a Verizon store in my hometown area. I traded in an iphone 4S in PERFECT condition, received my $200 credit, and was foolishly tricked into buying a phone I now hate with a passion, as well as paying a $30(+tax) upgrade fee that I have never had to pay since the dawn of cell phone plans. My 5C is constantly freezing, the touch screen doesn't work sometimes, and a weird pixelated almost circle shape pops up when I open or close my calculator, as well as my background sometimes flashes when I open or close an app. Along with the nuisance of the new phone came extremely high data usage that NEVER happened the first 2 years of my contract with Verizon. Now after 6 months of my upgrade, the new iphone is coming out and it costs as much as I paid for my god-forsaken iphone 5C. Had I known this irritating sales rep would coarse me into buying something I didn't want, I would have waited for this fall to try something else or just gotten a blackberry like I wanted to. I DON'T appreciate the business these sales reps are running just to earn commission, and I am deeply upset with Verizon and would like to formally request to be able to return my unwanted phone to get something else, like a regular iPhone 5. I don't care what I get, I just want to resolve this mess. I completely acknowledge that this was entirely my fault to agree to buy a phone when I didn't really want it, but as a LOYAL PAYING customer, I deserve to know my options with returning something I don't want without having to wait 2 YEARS to get a new phone.

If the 5c is under a year old, I would go to a Apple store - Not Verizon, and they should swap it out for you on the spot.

As long as it does not look physically damaged, or the water senor strip triggered you should be good to go in getting a replacement.

As long as you are there before the 19th, you should be fine.  After that, I would not want to be anywhere near a store.

Don't forget to backup your iPhone via either iCloud or iTunes first!

Yikes, I'm right next to the famous Apple store on 5th ave in NYC so I will definitely make sure to be there before the 19th.

Thanks again! Smiley Happy
