On my latest credit report I have noticed that there is a Derogatory Report by Verizon from June 2020, which is marked as paid. I have been a loyal customer of Verizon for years, and still I'm. I have auto payments set up on day 1 for all my Verizon services (wireless and separate internet accounts).
What I don't understand is the cause of this Derogatory report? And how can it be fixed?
One thing I do remember is that I used to have company paid Verizon wireless plan until 2020 and due to work related change I had to temporarily move to a different carrier and wanted to take my number with me. Verizon customer service (on a recorded line) told me that I can't take my number unless I switch to personal plan first, and added only after that I can make number transfer request at a later date. Since I don't have other option I agreed with that and few days later I was able to transfer my number. (Note that the original number wasn't from Verizon either, I imported it to Verizon when I joined the company paid plan.)
If this is the cause of the report, it is very disappointing and I'm politely asking Verizon to take a look at my reocrds/history help clearing out this from my record.
