Do I need a US address to get an account?

Hello all,

     I live close to the US boarder and wanted to get a Prepaid account. Do I need to have a US address to setup a Prepaid Cell service? I can get to a Store to pick up the SIM.

The prepaid phones on Verizon Wireless don't use a SIM card to access the Verizon Wireless network. The phones and plans are CDMA/3G only.
