If I don’t have the companion app installed and my child’s iPhone is connected to wifi but not to cellular data can I still view their location?
Hello, Samhull131. Knowing how the location services work on Smart Family is very important. We would be happy to help. If the companion app is not installed on their phone, and the phone is not connected to cellular service, the Smart Family app would not be able to locate your child's phone with a Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, Smart Family's location services can work without the campion app, but having the app installed gives you a more accurate location. Either way, the phone will need to ,at least, have a cellular connection for the location services to work.
