Dropped calls in a new apartment

My husband and I moved to a new apartment several months ago, and consistently have dropped calls (multiple times in each phone conversation). It is happening with both of our phones, with everyone we try calling. Neither of us have experienced dropped calls anywhere else. We are on the second floor of a house, have lots of windows, and there is no brick - we're not sure what might be happening?? We live outside of Boston (NOT rural), so should have adequate coverage. It's very frustrating!

How do we get Verizon to look into this problem?

mc0987 Moving into a new area should be an exciting time. We want to make sure you're able to make and receive quality phone calls. Do the dropped calls only happen in one particular room? How are calls outdoors?

Thank you for your response. The dropped calls happen in every room, including outside on our back deck.

If you have an Android install LTE Discovery it will give you an idea of the 1xRTT signal strength and the direction of the nearest tower as you walk the apartment.

These are wonderful details, mc0987, and help us gain a better understanding of your experience. Do you have to travel far in order to see an improvement in service?

t is possible that the local area may just fall within that coverage, or there may be something local that affects service in this manner.

What zip code are you located in? What is the make/model of the phones you are using?

Weth also provided a great tip to help provide additional insight too. We look forward to assisting further. Thank you, Mc0987

This is a COMMON misconception of cellular service. Simply because you are not in a rural area DOES NOT mean you will have adequate coverage. NO provider has "adequate coverage" in ALL non-rural areas, EVEN VERIZON!

We continue to experience dropped calls throughout our home.

I have an iphone6, my husband has a 2nd generation Moto X. We both experience the same issues.

Neither of us experience dropped calls anywhere else.

We have lots of windows, and I can't think of anything about the building that would be interfering.

Our zip code is 02459

My signal strength shows a steady -105 throughout the house.

Our closest tower is cid: 14391553 (northwest)

Our next closest tower is cid 14392067 (south/southeast)

both are under 400 m away

Any fixes would be appreciated.

Alternatively, wi-fi calling would work well for us here, when is Verizon going to start offering that?

Lets keep digging to get to the bottom of this . There are times where service indoors can be a challenge compared to outside. Have you always had difficulty in this area? Is it only happening at certain times of the day or even certain days of the week? You mentioned calls, are your texts & data impacted as well?

Yes, please help us figure this out.

Answers to your questions:

We've lived her for 5 months and have consistently had problems. Every day,

any time.

It does not seem to impact texts. We do not use data here, as we have

wireless in our house.

I am with you so far . Are both of your phones up to date on their software? Are the calls your losing always to the same person or people? For example calls from person A are no trouble but you keep losing calls to person B.
