Hold time is really really long these days

I transferred my account from a business account to my personal account around mid Sept. After that, I had to call Verizon a few times. Every time, I got the same message - "we are experiencing high call volumes". And every time, I had to hold 20+ minutes. Now, I have been holding for 27 minutes and still holding. I tried that hold my place once but no one called me back. 

I have been using Verizon for almost 20 years. For the past 15 years, my employer paid my cell phone bills so I never had to call Verizon. Now I switched to a personal account and I have to say the experience to call Verizon is just HORRIBLE! 

Unfortunately, I still have a few months to go before my contract is up. I CAN'T wait to finish my contract and switch to another carrier. Other carrier may not be better but I am sure it can't be worse. The experience has been so bad that it's impossible to get any worse.
