Years ago I purchased the Home Fusion as one of only 2 solutions I have for home internet. The Fusion cantenna and router are not mobile devices yet it appears those are treated as such regarding the 10GB per month limit. I relied on my 30GB a month plan before switching and the Fusion used about 20GB of data on a shared plan with phones. The remainder being on the phones. I checked a Costco kiosk and was told by the service representative there - as they read from a Verizon information page that the Home Fusion was under the plan up to 22GB. About 3-4 weeks later I received an email from Verizon stating a "reminder" that I am limited to 10GB of data at 4G LTE speeds and throttle back after that will occur. Of course I am extremely unhappy at this point because I thought I had done my homework and I am now a data slave to Verizon. I have had occurrences of throttled back data rates well under 100kbps, sometimes in the 25kbps range. This is so slow that it's painful to even use the internet through the Fusion router, even for browsing web pages. Google mail and calendar won't even load up in minutes.
I am VERY disappointed in Verizon's tactics and management decisions to offer what is advertised and touted as a home solution and have such a limited cap on the 4G LTE data. I won't lower myself to bashing all the officers and managers that felt this was a good solution to offer their loyal customers. It's time to rethink this Verizon. Do the right thing. Offer a competitive solution for a non-mobile home internet user.
