How do I get Verizon Wireless to honor what the store personnel told me, which I agreed to and was reflected on the estimate of my first monthly bill?

I previously had a $60 per month loyalty package with 2 GB for my smart phone.  On 1/31/15, I purchased a tablet at the store to go with my  phone, because the sales rep  told me she could reduce the total monthly charge for the phone to $30 per month at 1 GB and add the tablet for $10 per month. The store specifically said the total monthly charge (before taxes and fees) would be $40.  I just received the first bill, where the monthly charge is double at $80.  The Verizon supervisor said he would credit the first month overcharge, but that I would be stuck paying the doubling of the charge for the remaining time period.   Totally unacceptable.  I have been a Verizon customer for years and am completely dissatisfied with Verizon's failure to honor their agreement.

Well you can go back to the store and talk to the rep and she if they will honor their statement and call corporate however I doubt that that would work . Are you on a contract? If not look at the prepaid plans. Their is one pre paid plan for $45 bucks a month with 1 GB of data for a smart phone......

Another option is if you are not under contract leave Verizon Wireless.....

I have had my issues with Verizon, sorry for that..... Also since you have no print out from the store reflecting the change to $30 there is no proof.

I have copies of the two electronic receipts signed by me - one for the purchase of the tablet and one for the monthly charges.  Neither receipt references an extra $40 "line access fee."  I spoke to the manager on duty at the store, who said there was a "miscommunication" and that the doubling of the monthly charges is correct.  In other words, the sales rep lied to me and the store manager is not going to help resolve the problem.  I am hoping that someone with Verizon will honor their agreement, but if not I will proceed with a complaint with the FCC unless anyone else has a better suggestion.

Who can I call at "corporate"?

Can you please tell us what your monthly line access amounts are and what your monthly data access fees are?  If you would do so I think we could help you figure out what happened.  Alternatively, you have 14 days from getting the tablet to return it and cancel service.

$80 is right.  $30 1 GB data, $40 smartphone, $10 tablet.

DIdn't $40 sound your too good to be true alarms?  This is why you want to be an informed consumer.

He was an informed customer. It you can't rely on Verizon employees then why use their service. It's not his fault the store misrepresented the price. And he even has it in writing. If the employee never offered to amend his contract then he never would have bought the tablet ( which is expensive).

They are still within the 14 day window to cancel.  I'm sorry but if a customer cannot honestly read the receipts and things they signed (Customer Agreement & Equipment Purchase) then its not VZW's fault.

What are you talking about?? This is what he said above:

I have copies of the two electronic receipts signed by me - one for the purchase of the tablet and one for the monthly chargesNeither receipt references an extra $40 "line access fee."

Hence he has a receipt for the monthly charge which does not reflect an extra $40 bucks... So you are saying employees should not be held accountable for misrepresentation? And its the customers fault if its not reflected in a customer agreement? Verizon is liable because it was their employee.

What Weth said is absolutely accurate and I stand by what I previously said.  You cant have a smartphone, tablet, and 1 GB of data on any carrier for $40 a month (with or without taxes).

At Verizon's next shareholder meeting they should mention that we permit our employees to make up whatever they want to customers as long as they close a sale and and its the customer's responsibility to catch us....
