I have a device that I'd like to take to another carrier but have a balance on my bill as well as my $150 or so in etf.
My question is would vzw work with me in order to let me pay off the etf or would I get the device black listed quickly and unable to use anywhere else?
It would most likely be blacklisted as soon as the due date on the bill.
Besides what other carrier would or could you activate on?
stevenjcampbell,
I definitely don't want to lose you! Have you already cancelled your Verizon Wireless line of service? Is there anything I can do to keep you a part of the family? Verizon Wireless devices are only compatible on the Verizon Wireless network and payment arrangements aren't warranted for closed accounts.

Carriers in other countries. It could also be sold to another Verizon customer to be used on Verizon.
The Note 3 is a completely unlocked phone.
You can simply put a t-mobile sim in the phone and have it work on that network.
Unless you guys reduce the price of your plans, you will lose me.
Also, don't give me the run around about only being compatible on the VZW network
Even tier 2 tech will tell you that the Note 3 is an UNLOCKED world phone, and works without any real hacking, just an APN update for data on tmobile, or any carrier that supports the 4th band LTE.
Or t-mobile.
