Huh? What? Makes no sense to me!

About a month ago I lost my phone so I suspended it. After a bit of research I determined that I wanted to change to prepaid. So I waited until I made the final payment on my two year contract and tried to change my account to prepaid. However, even though all 24 months are paid for, because there is less than one already paid for week remaining on the contract, Verizon wants me to pay a $60 early termination fee! Does that make sense to anyone? So, instead of getting double payment for the 6 remaining days and being happy to have a continuing customer, they may well end up getting no payment beyond beyond September 24 as that customer re-evaluates the other wireless services!
