About three weeks ago I began reviving emails for a customer names Amanda. These emails are coming from Verizon (legitimately) and they include the last 4 digits of Amanda's phone number, the last 4 digits of her account number, her billing zip code and information about the phone she uses and the stores she has visited along with information about her data, calls and text usage. I have called customer service twice in an attempt to stop these emails from being sent to me, but each service representative was completely unable to address this issue.
Somehow this customer registered their account with my personal email address. These emails represent a HUGE breach in privacy and if they were sent to someone with more nefarious intentions they could probably take complete control of Amanda's account. All I want is for these emails to stop and for someone to tell me how this person was able to register their account with my personal email address. Thank you!

It sounds like her email address was mistyped and they end up coming to you, and not her. She's probably just as frustrated at NOT getting expected emails as you are getting her emails.
There should be a link at the bottom of the emails to opt out - the best you could do is opt out and then hope "Amanda" investigates why she isn't receiving emails and can correct the issue herself. It would be awesome if you got a rep that would actually call "Amanda" and get this resolved directly, but I doubt that will happen.

It won't because there most likely not a way to associate the email with the full phone number.
And, it's not a breach in privacy if the intended individual inputted wrong info.

They can not search by the last 4 of a phone number, the last 4 of an account number or even the last 4 of SSN. As @SuzyQ said, you can opt out at the bottom of the email.
