I get many robo calls to my Verizon cell phone each week. What is Verizon doing to block robo call?

Hello,

I get many robo calls to my Verizon cell phone each week.   Sometimes I get 3 or 4 in a single day.  It's maddening.  

What is Verizon doing to block robo calls?

as we know most of cell phone carrier having same issue so I doubt anything is done unless FCC get involved ....for now we can just ignore those call or block those or some numbers

Just because other cell phone companies are having the same problem, shouldn't mean Verizon shouldn't be actively trying to stop it! Why should I have to PAY for ANY blocked calls. FIVE blocked calls free? I get WAY more than FIVE ROBO calls per day. They are a nuisance, and should be stopped! Let's get a national Verizon phone number for Verizon customers, to report "call me back numbers", so VERIZON can call them back and tell them to leave Verizon customers alone! If there is a FCC number to report fraud, let's put it out there, publicly, so these companies will think twice before making random robo calls!

The FCC recommends asking the carrier to

• Ask your phone company to offer robocall-blocking technology for which the FCC has now given the legal approval.
• Register your number on the Do Not Call list in order to block telemarketing calls: www.donotcall.gov
• If you use robocall-blocking technology already, it often helps to let that company know which numbers are producing unwanted calls so they can help block those calls for you and others.
• Tell unwanted callers that you do not consent to the call, make a record of the number and when you made your request not to be called, and let us know.
• Wireless and landline home phones are protected against telemarketing robocalls made without prior written consent from the recipient.

Verizon, if you care about your customers, you will do more to stop robocalling, particularly those from scammers!

It should also be said that blocking scam calls should not cost the customer a penny!

In the past 2 weeks I have gotten 102 robo calls on my Verizon (Samsung) flip phone (yes, I still have a flip phone!)!  That's right 102!!  The Do Not Call Registry (been on since 2003) does absolutely NOTHING to stop the calls.  Majority of calls coming from area code in different state were we used to live 4 years ago.  Annoyed beyond any words I can write here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
