If i change my billing date, will that affect auto renewal?

I want to change my billing date so that my auto renewal option is on the 3rd of the month instead of the 26th-30th. Will changing my billing date (2nd of each month) to the 6th fix that?

There is a 5 day difference when it comes to billing and due date for the cycle changes.
