Is it considered borderling harrasment calling over four times, and sending four text msgs a day?

My bill is only a week late.  I have received over four calls a day, all from different phone numbers; and multiple text messages reminding me to pay my bill.  I've looked up bill collections policy and this is borderline harassment!  Not to mention the person I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude.  The first call was sufficient, I don't need 6 reminders a day that I'm a little late on my bill.  Your customer service is horrible, I've been a Verizon customer for 10 years.  I didn't realize that Verizon would have to shut it doors if they didn't get my $90 on time which is how your collections department acts. You'll get your $90 and  I'll be switching phone companies as soon as I get to work on Monday.

If you owe the money then they have every right to call to collect the money.  A week late is a long time not to pay.  Sprint will cut the phone off a day late from making the payments (this happened to my mother-in-law). If you choose to cancel, you could have ETF, plus activation fees with the new company. Which is a whole lot more then just paying the bill you owe.

Make sure to ask them if you are late, what happens? You would get even madder if they cutt it off vs calling you.

Good Luck! Make sure you look at the coverage area also.

Verizon should learn to work with and or give the benefit of the doubt to long standing Verizon customers.

I was late on the payment of my typical $350+ monthly bill  because I didn't schedule the payment correctly in my bill paying software.

Just like yourself, non-stop calls.    I explained my situation and that I spend over $4200 with them annually, and that they could from their records note that this was the first time I was late.

I'm sorry, a week late is not a long time.  Circumstances happen, I was traveling for work and forgot to turn in my expenses to have my company pay the bill before I left.  Once I told them I was traveling and would pay the bill when I returned the calls should've stopped.  According to the FDCPA:

Repeatedly and continuously calling. Numerous calls with the intent to annoy, abuse, or harass are not permitted.

I ended up paying the bill this morning so the calls and text msgs would stop and have still received four calls so far today and it's only 3pm.  This is ridiculous!
