My fiancee is on her family's plan and I am on my family's plan. We are both only a few months into our contracts. Would she have to pay an early termination fee to switch from her family's plan to my family's plan?

Hello Readthebox. Combining your fiancee's line without your current Verizon family plan is easy to do and penalty free. As Ann154 mentioned, in order to move her line from her current Verizon account onto your Verizon account you would need to do an Assumption of Liability (AOL). To start the AOL process, an authorized user from your fiancee's account will need to contact Customer Service, 800-922-0204, to submit the request. They will need either your account number or a current phone number from your account. Once this has been submitted, an authorized user from your account will need to contact the AOL department at 888-832-4540 to transfer the line over. Since your fiancee is staying with Verizon Wireless, there is no termination fee that would be applied.

You can go through the Assumption of Liability process to transfer your lines to their own account and off the parents' plans without being charged the ETF. You might have to provide a deposit depending on your credit rating.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

We're not trying to get a plan just for the two of us though. Just trying to combine her onto my family's plan.

The process is the same regardless of whose account you're moving her to.

So there's no ETF no matter who you switch to?

there's no ETF to move lines from one verizon wireless account to another.
The ETF applies if you cancel a line completely or transfer it to a different service provider.
