Is there ANYBODY at Verizon who can transfer an account?!

My brother has a small business account and we're trying to xfer my personal line to his small business account and do a phone upgrade at the same time.

NOBODY seems to know how to do that.

What's worse is that when we get someone knowledgeable, they don't have the means to accomplish it.  So, they transfer us to a line where everybody speaks BROKEN ENGLISH.  We literally get every 10th word they say.  How are these people hired to speak English???!!!

It shouldn't be that hard to do but nobody helps!  It's just easier for me to switch to T-Mobile as it's cheaper and has good coverage in my area.

p.s. Going to a Verizon store does no good.  They don't work w/ small biz.

The progressives believe we need to be globalized and diversified with the third world counties. They want what America offers but want to bring their unrecognizable talk without learning English. That doesn't help anybody.
I'm currently trying T-Mobile with their free 30 day test drive. They have coverage everywhere I go. And the speed is unreal......85 to 165 Gb/s. With Verizon I get 3 to 10 Gb/s. I will be switching in the next few days and saving approximately $45/month. Even though I've been with Verizon since 1993, this is a no-brainer. My loyalty to them has just been getting me slow speeds.

It might simpler to complete the transfer of the line to the new account before attempting to upgrade it. Asking to two different transactions can lead to issues or missed steps completed.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

There's two types of small business accounts. One with an ECPD profile and one without. An account with an ECPD ID shows as corporate liable and is inaccessible for customer service and Transfer Your Service. An account with this profile has to be accessed by BGCO. Judging by the post, I can assume we're dealing with the latter.

Step 1) Call customer service from a phone on the consumer account. Say you want to release a line to be assumed by another party. Specify it's for business when they are filling out the authorization form. Your job here is done.

Step 2) Get the assuming party to call customer service from a business phone so it routes to business support. Once a business agent has the business account up, they'll start and finish the process. Transfer itself only takes a few minutes.

After you do this, THEN you can do your upgrade. Doing things in the wrong order or with the wrong department leads to delays for a simple process.

This would require completing a Transfer of Service, the good news is this can be done here: https://www.verizon.com/support/transfer-service/overview/. With the account you are moving to being a business account, your brother will need to call in and speak with our Business Team if he needs assistance with accepting the transfer.
