So me and my husband went and got Verizon phones last Saturday the 20th of Feb.  I got tired of having prepaid and where we live Verizon has good coverage.  So I go online and try and see how many I'm approved for online stated 4 so we went to Best Buy as they are having a promotion of 300 Dollar gift card in store for Adding or transferring to Verizon and getting Samsung s6  So we get there to activate the phones it stops him at 2.  Ok we call Verizon they ran me around circles for few hours.  Then finally a nice rep stated I would have to go to Verizon Corporate store Ok not a problem.  Go there They proceeded to tell me if.  They help me I must activate there.  Fine what ever get shot out of 600 in gift cards go figure.  The Rep stated I could have up to 5 lines on my account with out a problem more if I wanted after 3 months of online payments.  So yesterday we decided we needed one more line for a Friend of ours that gets slow pay.  (AKA He gets paid good but it comes in spirts so he don't know if hes getting paid or not every week)   Now mind you last Sat on the 20th we spent a good 7 hours running through the hoops this is not to mention the 30-40 Min drive there.  So we go to Best Buy again and they tell us nope.  We call Verizon and some Daphne Lady got really rude to me and screamed at me that I could only have 4 lines for 3-6 months.  I am still well within my 14 days but don't really want to cancel but it might actually happen.

Sorry about your experience. I have also been lied to and been given the runaround by Verizon multiple times this week. The representatives just make up lies when they don't know an answer to your question. Completely incompetent and useless. Done with them as soon as my contract is up.

I have about 5 days left for the 14 day trial. Husband and me seriously thinking about canceling.

A New line depends on your credit.  Each time you run your credit has an effect.

FYI the $300 in Best Buy gift cards is an alternate to getting credit from Verizon.

so best buy was not able to complete process for you and you get yelled by V csr >sounds like best buy didn't try to help and try to get assistance help or reason why.

lets put this was you want new car , went to dealer...dealer tried  and didn't work out and advised you to call car maker HQ and ask why you cant have car from dealership....does it make sense for you to call or run around when it supposed to be done by BEST BUY REP .....regardless if they tried or not .in my thought they had not plus promotion was from best buy ..best buy should give you answer why you cant have extra or more lines on your account and they should getting info and giving to you

After the first experience and you being told that you had to go to a corporate store why did you go back to Best Buy to try and add another line? It sounds like Best Buy had already told you they met their limit (2 lines) during the initial attempt so perhaps you should have saved the time and went back to the corp store. If this does bother you too much then you definitely should cancel while you can. You don't want to get stuck and be unhappy. But if the issue is just that you need to go to a Corp store to complete adding additional lines it seems like doing so shouldn't be that big of an issue. Aside from not being able to participate in Best Buys promotion of course.

My Credit is almost close to 700 Across the board on score on all fico models.  Now I have escalated this to Executive div.  She called me today and she is super [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] she is contacting the Fraud Department that yelled at me gave her the name of the lady. I talked to her about the promotion and Told her I really didn't give a care about the promotion really but its the point of stating I'm approved for 5 then back to 4 then back to 5 and so on and on.  I am waiting 24 48 as lady statted she would get back to me.
