Locked out of my Samson Galaxy A50 phone

My Samsung Galaxy A50 due to having it locked by the Tic-Tac Pattern.  It stayed that way for hours and when I made the attempt to get in, I was unsuccessful.  Samsung tried to bring the system back up by loading the factory reset and it was unsuccessful.  Anyone ever had such a problem with that feature?
