I might be leaving too. They want to rescind my employee discount after 7 yrs of loyalty. I retired 3 yrs ago and I can't work. Never missed a payment and always on time. Ignore my payment record. Treat me like I just walked in off the street and RAISE my bill! I guess they need that 20% more than a regular paying customer. Petty. Jan 1st is the deadline. We'll see . . . .

They didn't raise your bill, they stopped giving you a discount since you stopped being an employee with the company on whose behalf you were receiving the discount.
Each month, on my bill at least, I see the full amount I am being charged. I also see the amount which is reduced because of my employers discount.

What does you not working for a specific company that qualifies for a discount have to do with whether you pay your bill on time? If you still worked for tha qualifying company, you could be late on every single bill and even be suspended for non payment every month and you'd still get the discount. It's not a verizon wireless "we appreciate you" discount. It's a "you work for this company that has an agreement with us" discount. Do you work for that company? No. Do you get an employee discount if you're not an employee? No. Maybe you should contact that company and ask them to pay 20% of your access fee if you feel you still deserve it.

I guess you came to that conclusion because I pointed out since you weren't an employee that you didn't qualify for an employee discount?
Outstanding piece of deduction!
Alas I am simply someone who wonders why someone who does not fulfill the ONLY prerequisite of receiving an employee discount is mad that they don't receive it.
Actually, you are not paying 20% more than a regular paying customer! but the SAME. Previously, you were paying 20% LESS!
Good luck with your new provider if you choose that route.
