New Verizon Wireless Plans Effective August 13, 2015

I would rather keep the $25 per line discount (at least while I am still paying for the 3 phones).  Is that what "Current customers can keep their existing plan or move to the new plan, with some restrictions" means?

We have three out of contract lines, and one contract line (contract ends in April 2016) .... with 2GB shared data.  We could move to 3GB for $5 less than the $50, I'm currently paying $20 for each basic phone and $25 for my out of contract line.  That would drop, but I don't see the $40 access for the in contract line dropping to $20 until it's out of contract... so our net would actually be the same cost, and we'd have an extra GB of data to share.  If they drop the cost of the basic lines, we'd save.  My billing cycle ends on the 21st; I'll see what additional info pops up but I think I'll be changing plans very soon!!!

That's why I said what I did earlier ... I'm wondering if one of the "some restrictions" for existing customers is that you can't switch to the new plan until all the lines on your account are out of contract.

Sounds as if there are plenty of good scenarios with this and a handful of bad ones. Lots of numbers crunching to do for some folks!

It seems the general rule is if you have smaller amounts of data, the new plans are a better deal, but those with larger buckets of data it is a worse deal.

Don't forget when comparing contract pricing with these new plans, they do not have the payment price of the phones in the plan.

Well if customers are using Data like my phones are and I'm not doing anything Different that I was 6 months ago in the last 3 months my Data use has went to the Moon and back Last month I used 13 GB the month before I use almost the same when I was only using from 4 to 6 that's big change and for some one not Unlimited that can add up Very Quickly in Price Hopefully these plans come with some good Data choices

So right now, I'm paying $175 for 5 lines and 15GB of data (5 x $15/smartphone + $100 for data).  Under the new plan that I saw, I'll now be paying $325 for the same amount of data (5 x $20/smartphone + 5 x $45/3gig data). 

How is this an improvement?
