No more benefits for loyalty?!?

I have been with Verizon Wireless for nearly 20 years. It's the only wireless company I have ever done business with. I am not a heavy data user, been on a 2, yes TWO Gig plan for over 2 years and don't go over. I baby my phones and keep them for as long as I can. I'm looking to upgrade to the LG V50 Thin Q 5G and upgrade to the Do More Unlimited and add a tablet. I have gone to the stores, called customer renention, and they could care less about showing and consideration for loyalty. I'm not looking for anything for free, but at least come closer to the offer Sprint is giving me. $19 a month for the phone, $0 activation fee and $70 Unlimited Plus with Hulu. Sure, it's Sprint and they aren't number one for service, but I live in the Tri-state area and the coverage here is phenominal for ALL carriers.

Has anyone had ANY luck getting Verizonwireless to show some consideration for customer loyalty or do they just refer everyone to the website for posted deals. I'm doing everything I can to keep my family with VZW but what's the point if they don't value us for sticking with them?

No, it best to switch to the provider that provides the best service where you need it at the most reasonable cost

The best deals for existing customers seem to occur over the Black Friday weekend in my experience.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Thank you for the reply, but I'm more curious if they even offer deal to loyal customers at any time, not just when they run specials for everybody. Why would anyone stay with a company like that?

The deals change monthly or weekly and occasionally they do have promotions that are geared towards existing customers who don't want to trade-in their previous device or add a new line to qualify for the promotion. For example, I got my current phone under one such promotion and it was June.

The biggest thing existing customers should realize is those promotions tend to not be for the latest and greatest or newest phones. For me, I had no interest in newest iPhone or Samsung phone, but I was able watch and wait for the right deal for the best phone that fit my needs and budget.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I stay with VZW for the quality of the network. Which phones they sell and the promotions they offer can help me choose if I'm going to upgrade my phone through Verizon Wireless or if I purchase directly from the manufacturer. I have done both of these options throughout the years. If I felt AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, or US Cellular could offer me the same quality of cellular service I would switch to that network. Where I live T-Mobile and Sprint are iffy at best. AT&T and US Cellular are passable, but have serious weak points.

I hear what you are saying about network quality but I am not a heavy data user and have never streamed a movie or anything like that over the cellular network. I also live in North New Jersey and we have amazing coverage from all company's. I'm just surprised that loyality isn't rewarded anymore. My cable company, my car dealer, even my mechanic have an appreciation for coming back to them time after time. I just thought Verizon would be better.

Sprint charges an activation just like everyone else. Never trust marketing to care about your best interest. I live in the 2nd largest city in my state and both Sprint and T-Mobile have terrible coverage compared to Verizon. Never going back to "emergency calls only" no matter how desperate their ad campaigns are.

You use Verizon as your carrier because you want to be in touch with your loved ones at any given time, not for freebies masking a subpar network.

Nearly20yearswithvzw,

We appreciate every single day of your loyalty with us. It's truly disheartening to learn that you are considering leaving us due to deals offered by competitors. While we definitely don't want to see you leave; we do understand the decision-making involved. While many of our current promotions do offer the greatest savings when activation of a new line of service occurs; we do have some great deals on devices, overall. We understand that every promotion will not work for every customer but our promotions are always changing to meet all of our customers needs. You can stay updated on the latest offers, here: https://www.verizonwireless.com/deals/upgrades/.

You can also check account specific loyalty offers by signing into your My Verizon account www.vzw.com/signin, and checking your notifications for "My Offers". It is our hope that you will continue to allow us to serve as your wireless providers for many years to come.
