Phone number has been hacked!

In the past two months I have received calls from three different numbers with the person telling me that they are calling me back when I never called them.  They then hang up.  This has happened at least 3 different numbers and a couple of times each with each number.  My phone doesn't show any activity or calls to these numbers only inbound calls.  However, I just checked the call listing online and it is showing that my phone has made a number of outbound calls to numbers that I have no record of making on my phone.  I believe that my number has been hacked and I would like to know how/who do I call or contact to get this resolved?

While your phone has not been hacked, it is likely your number is being spoofed. This means that either a computer/bot or a phone is calling other numbers (usually sales/telemarketing calls) and displaying your number. This will pass as they usually will spoof your number for a bit and move on. If it continues for an extended period of time (not likely usually) you can change your number but that is really all that can be done.

I've had telemarketers actually pass my own landline telephone number when calling me. It is a weird feeling seeing your own telephone number appear on the display as the phone rings.

No, this does not help. I have had my number for the better part of twenty years. I see no reason why I should disrupt mt life because of the illegal activity of others.
