Today I got home at 7:14PM and started downloading a game on Steam and activated my 1st PopData session at nearly the same time (within a minute).
I used more popdata sessions back to back not missing more than a minute total in between.
I watched my available data go from 26GB to now less than 19. I'm sure it will update my data to even less soon because I downloaded 9GB of the game before deciding that my experiment was completed.
I see nowhere in the popdata terms that game downloads are not included. So now I will be charged $9 for wasting a TON of my available data.
I contacted the support chat on a different occasion a few months ago because I had a suspicion that it didn't track everything properly and the lady assured me that ANY data I used that was under my account would not be counted against me when using PopData.
Is there anything I can do?? If a tech were able to look at my usage and popdata purchases I'm sure they would see that a significant amount of data was used in an impossible amount of time between sessions; at least 6GB in less than a few minutes.
Do I have any chance of getting my data back? Who would be the best person to contact? The online chat is no help, I do not trust them.
Thank you for any help! I may try to visit my local Verizon store tomorrow to see if they can help me. I don't care about the $9 as much as I really need my data back...
Thank you for reaching out to us. The situation certainly is concerning and we are happy to help look into this matter for you. It would be best if we went private to gather more information, would that be okay?
