I am porting one of the phones from my Verizon Family Plan to a different carrier. My contract end date is tomorrow. If I start the porting process today with the new carrier and they end up actually porting the number before tomorrow, will I be charged a penalty by Verizon? Thanks.
No. When a line is ported it gets suspended until the end of the billing cycle or contract end date - whichever comes first - then it is fully disconnected.
